Collaborating closely with our landscape construction team, we ensure a smooth progression from design to implementation, offering budget estimates at every step.

Our Approach

  • Defining the Brief

    Every journey begins with an idea. Whether you have a clear vision or simply recognise a need, we will work with you during the initial consultation to define your aspirations for your outdoor space.

    As part of this phase, we allow 1-1.5 hours on site to discuss your project and develop a brief. Following this initial consultation, we provide a design or construction fee proposal for your consideration.

  • Concept Design

    Following your approval to proceed with a design plan, we commence conceptulisation. To help you visualise the project, our team will present you with a detailed concept design.

    This in person presentation will also provide the opportunity for your feedback and input. Here we will also supply you with a preliminary cost estimate, allowing you to gauge the potential expenses of the project and make decisions accordingly.

  • Final Plans

    After refining the design concept, we provide you with the final design plans. We provide both 2D and 3D plans to our clients to offer a comprehensive understanding of the space.

    This allows them to view it from both a bird's-eye perspective and a sectional or perspective view. Our garden design plans thoroughly outline structural areas, planting schemes, and garden features, while also specifying recommended plants, materials, and finishes.

  • Project Management

    Should your project require necessary approvals, Defined Landscapes can assist you with the planning approvals required. When you design your landscape with us, we prepare the final design documentation. With plans finalised and the paperwork in place, we’ll ensure a smooth transition into the construction phase of your project and ongoing support during the build.

  • Construction

    Bringing your dream outdoor space to life, the team will then begin the construction process. This is the stage where all the design efforts come to fruition, allowing us to begin the process of transforming the design into a tangible space.

    Prior to commencing any project, we provide our clients with a detailed itemised quotation outlining the planned works.

  • Maintenance

    We have a team of experienced landscapers and horticulturalists, who prepare annual maintenance programs tailored to each specific project to ensure the results last.
